Forget Nexus 5, Motorola X Phone To Fire Up Google I/O Audience [RUMOR]

While there have been numerous rumors of an LG Nexus 5 flooding the web, the dismissal of such a product coming by none other than an LG French executive has put this to rest.

Motorola X & Nexus 5 smartphones

However that of the Motorola X phone has gained more steam now with a post on the DroidForums now pointing to it coming with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie at Google I/O. However that’s not the kicker, this is – it won’t be a Nexus branded smartphone. It will be an entirely different sub-brand.

If rumors serve true the Motorola X will boast an almost bezel-free edge toedge 5-inch display. The rumors add that since it isn’t a pure Nexus phone, it will have a skin on top albeit Nexus-like:

Supposedly, Motorola has been working hard to create a UI that both compliments & enhances the Android experience, and is intended to be Nexus-like.

As with all rumors, we suggest taking this one with a grain of salt. With Google I/O still a few solid months away, we can expect more rumors of a Motorola X to surface, and possibly overshadow any talks of the Nexus 5.
