Mind Blown: Motorola X Could Be Google Nexus 5

By  |

The Motorola device in question has been called the Motorola X, and it’s thought it’ll be independent of Nexus. It’s believed to run Android 5 (Key Lime Pie), and have a 5”, 440ppi screen.

It’s also been rumoured that Google will unveil it at the I/O in May, and will hit the Google Play Store in June or July. More recent whispers have said that it may have the Google Nexus brand name after all.

According to Eaglesrant.com said the “device referred to by the press as the Motorola X Phone may not carry Motorola’s branding after all,” and that it “might just be the next ‘pure’ Google phone, contrary to initial reports that it wouldn’t be a true Nexus device.”

Nvonews said that the specs included the display, which would be full HD and 5” in size. It’ll feature a 13MP camera, as well as a quad-core chip with 2GB of RAM.

These reports are all speculative so far, but one certain thing is that this device will be going head to head with the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Sony Xperia Z and the HTC M7.

We’re just going to have to wait and see if Motorola launches a Google Nexus device like this handset. If it does, it’ll be the first handset since Google took over.
