The Motorola handset comes by the name of the Motorola X and it was thought that it would be independent of the Nexus brand name.
It is said to have Android 5 when it comes out, which should be called Key Lime Pie. It is thought that the display could be 5 inches and it may have a resolution of 440 ppi.
Rumour has it that Google could also reveal the device at the I/O on 15th May and then the handset may be in the Google Play Store in June or July.
It has also been said that the device will have Nexus name.
Eaglesrant.com said that the ‘device referred to by the press as the Motorola X Phone may not carry Motorola’s branding after all,’ and ‘ might just be the next ‘pure’ Google phone, contrary to initial reports that it wouldn’t be a true Nexus device.’
Nvonews also said the specs of the handset would also include a screen of 5 inches, which would be HD and that there would be a 13 megapixel camera, along with a quad core processor of high performance and 2GB of RAM.
At the moment this is all speculation of course and nothing is sure. The device would be in competition with the HTC ONE, Sony Xperia Z and the Samsung Galaxy S3.
So what do you think? Will Motorola and Google work together on a Nexus device?
