Those following the Motorola rumor mill will know that there are speculations going around about a device from Motorola which goes by the name of the Razr X. Well Droid-Life reports today that the device has been “confirmed” as it has been seen in a leak that appeared today in what is supposed to be from engineers at Moto regarding the Android timeline update.
DL: Motorola DROID RAZR X & Motorola Nexus “confirmed”
The leak doesn’t mention any specs of the device; however it does bring news that will be of interest. A word of warning though, you may wish to take the following with a pinch of salt, as there is no proof of it being the real deal but DL is confident enough to say that it is confirmed so maybe it is a trusted source.
The leak mentions a Motorola Nexus too and then goes into what are supposed to be the time frames for the release of the Android 4.2.2 Key Lime Pie Android update to roll out to device. These were posted as follows:
If the information is legitimate then it is confirmed that there is to be an Android 4.2.2 Key Lime Pie, a Motorola DROID RAZR X and Motorola Nexus.
If you assume that the schedule is true then the DROID Razr X and Motorola Nexus will come with Key Lime Pie pre-installed, while the update would come to the Razr HD and Maxx HD at some time in Q3 or Q4 of 2013.
Update: Well it looks like like it was just hogwash. DL has talked with some friends that are “well placed” and it seems that the leaked schedule is not looking so legit than ever. The Android blog has changed their title and removed the word “confirmed”, while apologizing for using it in the first place.
Sigh. And we were so excited.
