False Fire: No Jelly Bean For Motorola Droid Razr & Maxx

By  |

In what felt like a Christmas miracle, Motorola DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX owners were surprised to see the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update land on Christmas morning.

Motorola DROID RAZR & RAZR MAXX Jelly Bean update pulled

Those who got the notification on their Motorola DROID RAZR were greeted with a 331MB download that bumped the device up to Jelly Bean. However many began to report download failures and some even said that they couldn’t find it. In fact, many users never saw the update on their RAZR phones.

If this sounds like you then I am afraid you have missed the boat. According to the folks over at AndroidAuthority, the update has since been pulled by Motorola and given that there was no official announcement of its rollout, Motorola had no reason to inform us that they had to put a stop to it.

At this time there is no telling what was the reason for the Motorola DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX Jelly Bean update to roll out and be pulled so abruptly but we will be keeping an eye on any announcements from Motorola so stay tuned.
