Motorola DROID RAZR & MAXX Jelly Bean Update Released

Christmas is a time of giving and it looks like Motorola has decided to do that by rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for two of its devices ahead of schedule.

Motorola DROID RAZR & RAZR MAXX Jelly Bean update rolls out

Without any announcement on their website or any other kind of alert, it seems that the Motorola DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX have begun to receive their Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update OTA.

The details come via AndroidCentral readers who are suggesting that they have begun to receive the long awaited update. It isn’t as widespread as expected, explaining why there is no official word from Verizon or Motorola about it before it began to be fired out.

Given that it is Christmas, maybe Verizon and Motorola didn’t have time to make an announcement? Or maybe they wanted to do something nice for Christmas. If so, this is certainly a nice surprise for Motorola DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX owners.

We’ll keep you posted as more develops.
