Motorola are sending out an update for ICS for the Droid Bionic. As this seems to be imminent it is about time that they sent out the bug fix update for ICS for the Droid Razr and the Razr Maxx. Owners have been waiting for the update since June.
Motorola DROID RAZR ICS bug fixes likely next in line
Verizon released the ICS update for the two handsets four months ago and ever since then owners have had to manage with devices that have bugs on them. It seems that Verizon, along with Motorola had released the update too early so as to meet the deadline. Due to this the update came with numerous bugs. These have yet to be fixed.
It is thought that the delay for the update to ICS for the Motorola DROID Bionic was to ensure that there would be no bugs on it.
Motorola have started soak tests for the update for the Bionic, which is thought to be ICS. It is suppose to come out in Q4 of this year and it looks like that promise may be kept. This is good news for owners of the Bionic, but it doesn’t help those who have the Motorola Droid Razr and Razr Maxx.
On the bright side if the update is ready to roll out for the Bionic, it could mean that the solutions to the bugs have already been identified and just need to be implemented for the other Motorola devices. Therefore it might not be long before the bug fix is on its way for the Razr and Razr MAXX.
