The Verizon Motorola DROID RAZR HD continues to garner up much hype and to be perfectly honest, it deserves to. Leak after leak, the Motorola DROID RAZR HD appears to be a serious contender to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X. Let’s take a look.
Motorola DROID RAZR HD rumors
One of the latest leaks regarding the device is a video that was uploaded to YouTube. While the video doesn’t say much about the hardware it does show us the interface that was on the Atrix HD from AT&T. if rumors are true then you can expect the Motorola Droid Razr HD to have very similar specifications to the Atrix HD. These include the 720 display, 1.5GHz S4 Snapdragon processor and the camera of 8 megapixels.
Phone Arena has reported that the Droid Razr HD will have a larger 2,530mAh battery which could give it stamina while remaining on the sleek side. If you are a lover of software navigation buttons you are in luck as it is thought that the handset will have them only just like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. This will make it easier to reach them than hardware buttons and they should be adaptable to meet the needs of whatever app you are using. They will of course fade away when playing a video on the larger 4.6 inch screen.
With the handset heading to Verizon you may think that NFC would not play a part in the features of the Droid Razr HD. However according to filings with the FCC it should be NFC compatible. This would give the handset tap based sharing just like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and make it easy to pair with similar devices.
On the downside there are rumors that it will be released with Android 4.0 as opposed to 4.1 Jelly Bean. The camera could also be a minor let down at 8 megapixels, if it has not been improved over the Atrix HD.
Motorola need to bring something great to the table to compete with the upcoming iPhone 5 and the likes of other Android devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X. And it looks like they are doing just that with the RAZR HD.
