Motorola May Have Apple iPhone 5 Beat With DROID RAZR HD In The Race To Stores?

By  |

Motorola are getting ready to launch the follow up to their successful Droid Razr, dubbed the Motorola DROID RAZR HD. And they could very well have Apple’s iPhone 5 beat to store shelves.

Motorola DROID RAZR HD release date may come ahead of iPhone 5 after all

The Razr Maxx has been among the top sellers over at Verizon even though it has the $300 price tag attached to it. There is a rumor going around that Motorola may launch the Motorola DROID RAZR HD on 5th September.

With the iPhone 5 rumored to launch exactly one week after, September 12, Motorola may have just enough time to garner up interest and hype before getting overshadowed by the usual hype that follows all iPhone releases.

There have been videos uploaded to YouTube over the past few days but these have been taken down thanks to Motorola copyright issues. The videos show us the beautiful Kevlar style casing, large display and that it appears to be running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. As for the battery, rumors put it at a healthy 2,550mAh.

At the moment Motorola are behind both Apple and Samsung in the race for the best device on the market thanks the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 4S, but the Razr HD launch could bring them back. Motorola just has to act before Apple makes a move on its iPhone 5 and has its marketing machine kick in.
