Fans of Motorola were left disappointed last week when the company teased people on their Facebook page with a mystery device. However according to SlashGear, leaks and reports that they will be launching their Droid Razr HD soon is still going around the net. A source told HotHardware that the device would arrive in October and it would come with the Droid Razr Maxx, with its superb battery.
Motorola DROID RAZR HD release date set for sometime in October?
The source said that Motorola plan on releasing both of the devices at the same time, in October, when they have sold enough of the Droid Razr and Maxx devices that are out at the moment. Therefore it looks like the launch of both handsets depends on how well the current phones sell. Motorola may therefore put off the launch if they believe that sales have not been enough.
While the handsets specs have yet to be confirmed it is though that the phones will have at least 720p displays and the Max HD should have a large battery. The downside to this is that it would make the handset thicker.
Reports have also said that the Motorola DROID Razr HD would have a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor as opposed to the Texas Instruments OMAP chipset. It would also be ready for LTE on Verizon and it should have a very similar design to the Droid Razr.
In addition the handset should be ready for global roaming and it will have support for HSPA+ on networks outside of the US. The handset has reported to have been tested on Vodafone and will have a battery of 3300mAh. One can only wonder what size the battery would be on the mythical Razr Maxx HD.
