Fans who have been eagerly waiting for the release of the next big Motorola phone on Sprint may not have to wait too much longer. Rumour has it that the 4G LTE, dual core QWERTY slider Photon Q may be released on Sunday 19th August reports AndroidCentral.
Sprint Motorola Photon Q headed your way August 19?
There have been suggestions that Sprint plans to launch the phone on this date, but this of course does not happen to be set in stone. The rumored release date came about after reports that staff at Sprint had been having training on how to use the new device. This is always a sign that a release date is just around the corner.
Sprint along with Motorola are keeping quiet at the moment with the last we heard being the announcement from the press release. This said that the Photon Q was coming soon.
Along with the physical keyboard and dual core, the handset comes with ICS Android 4.0.4, has an 8 megapixel camera and boasts the ColorBoost screen. This could actually be one of the highest spec slider phones on the market. Considering the leaked specs of the Motorola DROID RAZR HD and AT&T ATRIX HD, this appears to be Sprint’s version of the same device but with a sliding keyboard.
