The official Twitter account of Motorola in Canada have said that the Razr HD is now available from Rogers exclusively. However it seems that someone forgot to tell Rogers this as the device isn’t listed on their website. The device is out on a 3 year contract in Canada, which is very confusing.
Motorola RAZR HD now on sale in Canada, DROID model tipped for US on 18th
If you are waiting for the handset in the US then the date for the launch is expected to be 18th October for both the Motorola DROID Razr HD and the DROID Razr Maxx HD reports Droid-Life. Several sources said that Verizon have started training their staff for both of the devices and next Thursday will be the date for launch. It is thought that the Motorola DROID Razr HD will be set at $199 on a contract of two years and the Maxx HD will be $299 at Verizon.
Both smartphones are pretty much identical to one another apart from the MAXX HD and its 3,300mAh battery which boasts a whopping 21 hours of talktime. They will go head to head with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S3, Note 2, HTC One X+ and the iPhone 5.
On a side note, there are rumors that the DROID RAZR HD may be the basis of the Motorola DROID Nexus, a rumored Motorola-Google Nexus phone which is coming out later this year. We’re guessing that if rumors serve true, it will be a stock Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie Android smartphone with Google branding and RAZR HD hardware.
