Official DROID RAZR HD Jelly Bean Update Now Available Unofficially

By  |

If you are the owner of the Motorola Droid Razr HD you can get your hands on Jelly Bean now thanks to a leaked version of Android 4.1. However bear in mind that at the moment we don’t know if you can flash back when an official build comes out. This means that you could be stuck with this build forever.

Official Motorola DROID RAZR HD Jelly Bean update leaks, may not be final version

DroidRzr came across build 9.1.39 on the servers of Motorola and have put it online. It comes with Google Now and it should look like the build that was leaked for the DROID Razr M a few weeks ago. At the moment there is no way of telling just how stable it is and if it is the final version, which will be available OTA. It could have bugs and it could be the first attempt by Motorola to bring Jelly Bean to the Motorola DROIDRazr HD.

It has been said that the Razr HD Utility by Matt Groff will let you flash back if you install the Jelly Bean leak. This means that you would not be stuck with it forever, nevertheless there is always a risk.

If you want to flash your device, the leak should work for both the Motorola DROID Razr HD and the Maxx HD with the latest 0.7.2 build. Directions are straight forward. First download the update.zip file and place on “external1″ storage. Then download this crc file and place it on “external1″ as well. Make sure toinstall OTA RootKeeper after rooting to keep root.
