Readers have been saying that Motorola is sending out invites to owners of the Motorola DROID 4 to take part in a soak test for a new software update. While there has been no confirmation of the update, it is thought that it will be Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich reports DroidLife.
Motorola DROID 4 soak test Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich likely
It would make a great deal of sense for the update to be Ice Cream Sandwich as Motorola did say that we could expect to see the update around Q3. Now we are right in the middle of that quarter, it seems that they are ready to begin testing the update before then making it ready to be rolled out to consumers.
This morning over at the Motorola DROID 4 forum, DL found a thread entitled ICS waiting room. In this last week the manager of the forum reminded users of the DROID 4 to make sure that they have chosen to opt in to the feedback network of Motorola. This is the group who hand out invitations to soak tests which then allows users to be able to test out new software. Could he have given any bigger of a hint?
