The 2017 MINI Countryman will be coming in as a brand new model and with all that the vehicle has to offer, you would think that it would have no trouble getting the Top Safety Pick+ award from IIHS but instead, the vehicle was only given the Top Safety Pick award.
The MINI Countryman manage to score a Good rating for the moderate overlap front, head restraint tests, side, roof strength, as well as the small overlap front. Paired with all the other crash prevention system they have and we should have a winner here but the headlight dragged it down.
According to the report, the MINI Countryman headlights only scored a marginal and poor rating. Of course, the Top Safety Pick rating is still great but it could have been better if they thought out the headlights better.
The new 2017 MINI Countryman will retail for $26,100.
