The Microsoft Lumia 950 arrived on the market and it has been in competition with the likes of the iPhone 6S and Samsung Galaxy S6. But does the Lumia have what it takes to beat the other devices?

Microsoft have been struggling to come out with a handset that beats those from Samsung and Apple but does the Microsoft Lumia 950 offer anything different that puts it in with a chance?

There is a display of 5.2 inches on the Microsoft Lumia 950 and it offers a resolution of 2560 x 1440. The display of the Samsung Galaxy S6 is the same resolution but slightly smaller at 5.1 inches. The display of the iPhone 6S is 4.7 inches and resolution is 1334 x 750. We think that the Lumia comes in slightly ahead.

The battery of the Microsoft Lumia 950 is bigger than the battery of the iPhone 6S and the Samsung Galaxy S6, so the 950 wins again.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 has the reversible USB type C-connector, the iPhone 6S has the Lighting connector and the Samsung Galaxy S6 offers the micro USB connector.

There is the Microsoft Display Dock on the Microsoft Lumia 950 and owners can attach the phone to a Windows 10 computer. Neither the iPhone 6S or the Samsung Galaxy S6 does this so the Lumia is the winner.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 has 32GB of storage and it can be expanded. The Samsung Galaxy S6 has 32GB but it doesn’t support SD card and the iPhone S6 also cannot be expanded and starts with 16GB. This is another win for the Lumia 950.

The camera on the Microsoft Lumia 950 has more megapixels and it takes great photos in low light and has OIS support. There is a 16MP camera on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and a 12MP on the iPhone 6S. All three offer a 5MP camera but as the Lumia 950 has the bigger megapixels it wins.

The price tag of the Microsoft Lumia 950 is $549 and if you go for this you save $100 when compared to the iPhone 6S. You can get the Samsung Galaxy S6 in the 32GB version for $579.99 and so we put the Lumia 950 ahead.
But would you go for the Microsoft Lumia 950, Samsung Galaxy S6 or the iPhone 6S?
