Microsoft Lumia 950 Review: You Get What You Pay For

By  |

Microsoft is hoping that owners of iOS and Android will make the move from their handsets and go with the Microsoft Lumia 950. But what does the device offer to make owners want to move from the handsets that they love?

The Microsoft Lumia 950 comes with a 5.2 display with 1440 x 2560 resolution and it offers 32GB of storage space and runs on the Snapdragon 808 processor. The device has the support for SD storage and it comes with 3GB of RAM.

There is a lot going for the Microsoft Lumia 950 but then there are some drawbacks to the handset and one of these is the fact that it runs on Windows 10. Another big drawback is a lack of apps in comparison to the Android and iOS handsets.

But what do you think? Does the Microsoft Lumia 950 have what is needed for it to beat the Android and iOS devices that are out there at the moment?

I own the 3 Lumia 950’s. My wife, daughter and I have one. We have been loyal WP users since early 2011. After all these years of not wanting to give up, I am close to hanging up the Windows Mobile hat. The apps, which for a long time wasn’t an issue, is now an issue. From the much needed bank app, to the “please download the app for your childs school work” to the home security. The apps are starting matter. I am also frustrated with the freezes and reboots. The people on the other end saying “I can hear my own voice” (which happens on all 3 phones, oddly enough not when we talk to each other). I am giving Microsoft an ultimatum, start adding apps, or we will take our business elsewhere. That’s a big thing. You see I promote Microsoft Phone, Surface, XBox One, everywhere I go, whomever I talk to. You will be losing much more than a loyal customer, you will lose a free marketing tool, yours truly.
