Microsoft Lumia 950 May Not Be As Likeable As You May Have Thought

By  |

Microsoft has had been tough time when it comes to trying to get people to fall in love with their devices. The latest device from Microsoft is the Microsoft Lumia 950. But does it have what is needed to try to persuade people to make the move away from their current handsets.

The display of the Microsoft Lumia 950 is 5.2 inches. The storage is 32GB and it runs on the Snapdragon 808 processor. The device comes with support for SD card and there is 3GB of RAM.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 does come with some downsides with the biggest of these being the fact that it runs on Windows 10. This means that it is lacking apps offered by handsets such as iOS and Android.

But the biggest question is whether you would be willing to give up your Android or Apple handset to go for the Microsoft Lumia 950.

I’ve had my Lumia 950 XL for months now. It is the most amazing phone at the most amazing price. I shifted from iPhone and never regretted it. It is definitely the most advanced phone: Iris recognition instead of fingerprint (Hello), 20 Megapixel camera, SD limitless memory flexibility and upgradability anytime, a phone that is a PC at the same time (Continuum), same super OS (Windows 10) across platforms, Office Suite of Apps and amazing new ones like SWAY, one terabyte free with Office 365 on OneDrive (cloud storage), amazing Cortana, amazing car phone integration with Driving Mode, endless music on the go from Groove Music (my 1000 CD collection is with me all the time on my phone in addition to online music), my files and huge book library are also with me anywhere I go, top online security, perfect App synchronization with OneDrive, etc. etc. and the list is endless. It certainly is the most advanced phone in the market at an amazing price. Microsoft Store now has all the apps that you would need plus many more. I only miss one app which I still use on my redundant iPhone, but I bought many new amazing apps that I love also at an amazing price. There certainly is the need for a few hours of learning to make the shift, but you are the one in control. Microsoft doesn’t make the decisions for you, you are totally in control.
A friend of mine dropped his Samsung which he recently purchased and had to pay almost the price I paid for my Lumia 950 XL to get the glass repaired. I thought the Lumia was extremely vulnerable if it was dropped because that is how it looks, but I did drop it by accident last week on a concrete surface from my arm level. I though that was the end of it. I was amazed when I picked it up when it had absolutely no damage. Maybe I was lucky, I really don’t know, but my Lumia survived a full drop on a concrete surface! The only problem is Microsoft lack of experience in marketing phones, or maybe people still don’t know how amazing this phone is!

I’m not one of these people that need all the latest and greatest apps, at least on a phone, as long as it makes calls, texts, takes pic’s and videos and is decent build quality and reliable service and for that reason I have used the lumia 640 without fail it has done everything I have needed it to do and have recently upgraded it to windows 19 and I have not experienced any of the problems that a lot of people seem to have or claim to, and I do plan on upgrading to the 950 or maybe the new HP windows phone coming out later this year.
