Apple handsets are generally compared more to LG or Samsung than they are Microsoft as Microsoft haven’t been all that good at coming up with devices to spark excitement. However they have released the Microsoft Lumia 950 and it is taking on the iPhone 6S, but does it have what it needs?

The Microsoft Lumia 950 offers up a display of 5.2 inches and it is Quad HD AMOLED offering up a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and 546ppi. It offers the Snapdragon 808 processor and boasts a camera of 20MP along with one of 5MP. Not bad for a handset offered by Microsoft?

The iPhone 6S comes with a 4.6 inch display which is retina and it runs on the Apple A9 processor. It has a 12MP camera along with a 5MP camera.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 is a Windows handset and the iPhone 6S is iOS so this is the biggest deciding factor between the two. Windows doesn’t offer as many apps as iOS and this could be the downfall of the Lumia 950.

I’m very happy with my Lumia 950. I find IOS pretty boring, and I hate the iTunes store. I have a Blu droid as one backup device and it’s a surprisingly good phone for the money, but I’m not a droid fan either, though the store is fine. Different strokes for different folks.
