It was clear that the fans were disappointed in what E3 had to offer this year. A lot of the games that were at the event were games that we knew was going to arrive this year and the developers and publishers did not have many surprises to offer.
According to Microsoft, they intentionally held back some of the announcement because those games were still a long time off and they did not want to string their fans along while they continue to work on the game for years.
They added that they are working on new things but they did not want to talk about games that will only arrive 2 to 3 years later. While we are not happy that Microsoft did not have much to offer, we do understand where they are coming from as there is nothing more frustrating than getting hype for a game only to be forced to wait years for it.
