The Mercedes X-Class concept has been seen and it has the base of the Nissan Navara. Of course the architecture has been changed so that it fits the bodywork of the Mercedes Benz. It is going to offer up the V6 diesel engine, which of course is known to be the leader among the turbocharged engines. At the moment we have no idea about the figures, but it is much like the Honda Ridgeline that has been taking steroids.
If you are looking for a lifestyle truck and not a truck for going off the road then the Mercedes X-Class may be the ideal. The Honda Ridgeline is also a lifestyle truck too. Perhaps the one thing that sets them apart is the X-Class is a premium vehicle and the Ridgeline isnt.
If you want a truck for towing then the Mercedes X-Class is good as it can tow 7,700lbs and carry 2,400 pounds. The ride from the vehicle is one that you would expect to get from a vehicle with the Mercedes-Benz name attached to it.
The Mercedes X-Class should be arriving next year but we have no idea what the price tag on it may be. One thing we do know is that it should be above that of the Ridgeline. It is first coming to Europe, Australia and South Africa and then it will venture to Latin America.
We are not expecting to see the Mercedes X-Class make its way over to the US due to the fact that there are fees for imported trucks.
