Mazda 3 Facelift Doesn’t Come With Powertrain Changes

By  |

Everyone is getting very excited about the facelift of the Mazda 3 as this is a compact sedan that is said to be coming with a brand new turbocharged Skyactive engine. The powertrain is going to give the vehicle more power than the one on the market at the moment and we can forget all about Mazdaspeed.

However these were just rumors and it seems that they were wrong. Mazda have now said that vehicles in the future are going to offer the new turbocharged engines, expect for the Mazda 3.

Of course to give a facelifted vehicle a new engine would make it a huge upgrade and it is thought that this is only going to happen with the next generation of the Mazda 3.

The Mazda 3 had a facelift in Japan and we have seen it already and there was no changes to the powertrain of the vehicle. Therefore it isn’t likely that the vehicle heading to the US is going to be offered with a new turbocharged engine.
