The LG Nexus 4 has been very successful and fans of Android love the handset. There are now rumours floating around that its successor is on its way and that the handset could come with Key Lime Pie installed.
According to IBTimes the LG Nexus 5 could be based on the LG Optimus G Pro.
A source has said that we could see Android 5 Key Lime Pie around May and it would come with a lot of improvements. One of these would be multiple user profiles. The LG Nexus 5 could have better performance modes, which may mean that the owner could choose between hardware performance against longer life for the battery. It is thought that Twitter could be better integrated.
The LG Optimus G Pro comes with a screen of 5 inches and it is 1080p. It has been said that it will have a quad core processor of 2GHz and there could have been improvements to the camera, it may also have support for LTE.
At the moment there is no confirmation that LG will be making a new handset with the Nexus branding on it. However there is a rumour going around that Google may work with more than one phone maker at the same time in 2013.
LG did a superb job with the LG Nexus 4 and the handset comes with a solid build, hardware that is great and it has a superb design. It is missing LTE and it lacks serious storage space. This is something that the G Pro boasts. Keep your fingers crossed that if the LG Nexus 5 arrives you can get your hands on it in the Google Play Store.
