The LG Optimus G is doing well over in the US and it has been released in Europe and China. This has led to talk of another updated handset coming our way in the shape of the Optimus G Pro. Now confirmation has come about thanks to renders and promotional materials.
The G Pro handset over in Japan is with NTT DoCoMo and the handset has a display of 5 inches, which happens to be full HD. The device has a battery of 3000mAh and it has been said that there could be another handset on the way with a larger display, around 5.5 inches. It is thought that we could see this at the MWC and this will take place later during this month.
The device is thought to be in competition with the Sony Xperia Z, the HTC M7 and the Samsung Galaxy S4.
The LG Optimus G was the device from which the LG Nexus 4 was built on and if there is to be a new Nexus device from LG, then this rumoured handset could be it.
Would you like this device to be the next Nexus handset? It comes with a large display of 5 inches which would be HD IPS LCD and have a resolution of 1080 x 1920. It may have the Snapdragon quad core processor of 1.7GHz, LTE, 2GB of RAM, a camera of 13 megapixels and a camera of 2 megapixels on the front which would take 1080p video.
The LG Optimus G Pro may have a battery of 3140mAh and it could also have a screen of 5.5 inches with 32GB of storage internally and expansion by way of SD card up to as much as 64GB. The handset could come with a unibody design.
The LG Nexus 4 was a great device and it has solid hardware, however the downside it that it doesn’t have LTE and the maximum amount of storage is 16GB. Of course Google and LG could lay this to rest with the release of the LG Nexus 5 if it includes more storage and SD card support and it has LTE.
