Nexus 7.7 & LG Nexus 5 Launch Set For May At Google I/0 2013?

By  |

Earlier this week rumors suggested that LG was ceasing production of the Nexus 4 in favor of a Nexus 5. While there is nothing more to go on from there, the folks over at Android.gs report that now a new one has popped up over on Korean forums and this time it talks about the LG Nexus 5 being accompanied by the successor of the Google Nexus 7.

Google I/O rumors: LG Nexus 5 & Nexus 7.7

The blog reports that there may be an LG Nexus 5 and Google Nexus 7.7 coming to Google I/O. For the LG Nexus 5, the forum points to a handful of specs which include 2GB of RAM, 8/16 GB of internal storage, and a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash. It will take the same $299 price point that the LG Nexus 4 has over on the Google Play Store.

As for the successor to the Nexus 7 tablet, the Nexus 7.7, it will boast a larger WUXGA display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and a density of 294 ppi, same Nvidia Tegra 4 CPU, 2GB RAM, 8/16 GB of internal storage options and both a front and rear camera. It will also start at $299.

Both the LG Nexus 5 and Google Nexus 7.7 will boast 1 mm thin bezels. Now just like IBTimes report about the discontinuation of the LG Nexus 4, we suggest taking these Google I/O predictions with a pinch of salt as well.
