The LG Nexus 4 is one of the hardest devices to get your hands onto at the moment thanks to low stocks. On the other hand you can get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S3 just about everywhere and anywhere you are in the world. Now PopHerald reports that this has in effect means made the LG Nexus 4 with 16GB of storage more expensive than the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S3 in the open market.
16GB LG Nexus 4 now more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S3
Google along with LG have not been able to meet the demand on the Nexus 4, which comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.2, making it more expensive to get than the Galaxy S3. Shipping has been delayed on the device for around 5 weeks for the 16GB version and if you want the 8GB version you will have to wait for around 9 weeks.
The effect therefore is very similar to diamonds; the LG Nexus 4 is now more expensive when you buy it online than the Samsung Galaxy S3. If you cannot get your hands on the device in the Google Play Store then it will cost you $700 for the 16GB LG Nexus 4, which is $350 more than you could get it from Google Play Store where it is currently sold out.
In comparison you can get your hands on the 16GB Samsung Galaxy S3 for $550 unlocked and some retailers are even offering the device for around $490 to $520 to attract customers reports PH. It seems that as the supplies of the Nexus 4 are so low some 3rd party retailers are charging what they want for the device.
