The LG Nexus 4 is without a doubt one of the most difficult smartphones to come buy. Being sold out for weeks in the Google Play Store here in the US, Google is pointing the blame on LG for the shortages.
LG Nexus 4 production ceased for LG Nexus 5 (rumor)
Now comes an even more interesting rumor about why LG may be having such a tough time producing enough Nexus 4 handsets to fulfill demand. As the folks over at Product-Reviews point out, LG could possibly have switched their focus on an LG Nexus 5 already. And in doing so, cut out the Nexus 4. Sound crazy?
This speculation started about production halts of the Nexus 4 started when LG Electronics SVP James Fisher hinted at CES that while the LG Nexus 4 was one of their main products, they were working on a mystery Android device. It was then when IBTimes laid down this bombshell:
“The company seized the production of the smartphone to focus on the development of its future offerings.”
Ok first up, the word “seized” likely was suppose to say “ceased”. So with all this in the open, it is starting to show why Product-Reviews have began speculating that an LG Nexus 5 may be that mystery device which has the LG Nexus 4 suddenly on hiatus.
Nevertheless, whatever the chatter may be just take it with a pinch of salt.
