You would have thought that the Apple iPhone 5 would have been the hardest device to get your hands on over the holiday period. However you could enter any Apple Store and pick up the device at this time. The device that you cannot get hold of happens to be the LG Nexus 4, Google’s Android Jelly Bean 4.2 running smartphone.
LG Nexus 4 availability not improving in Google Play Store
The LG Nexus 4 was launched just a little over a month ago and ever since its release it has been harder to locate than gold. Those who managed to order the handset have seen extended shipping times and if you are lucky enough to be able to buy a handset today, you can expect to wait until February 2013 before it arrives in your hands.
When it comes to Android devices, being able to get them immediately plays a huge part. If you had to wait a couple of weeks for the Apple iPhone 5, it wasn’t a huge deal, as the next iPhone model wasn’t coming out for another year. The same cannot be said about an Android device. Between now and February there will be quite a few Android handsets announced that will be just as good, if not better, than the LG Nexus 4. This means that there is a good chance that a newer device will catch your eye.
If you are dead set on getting hold of the LG Nexus 4 then you might want to head to the Google Play Store and download an app called Nexus 4 Stock Alert. This sends a notification when the LG Nexus 4 is in stock at your native Google Play Store. Currently it supports the UK, US, Australia and Germany.
Of course there are rumours going around of the Samsung Galaxy S4, Motorola Nexus X and the HTC M7 coming out soon. I personally am not going to wait much longer for the LG Nexus 4 and will likely pounce on the next best thing when it comes available next year!
