A forum member over at iFans claims that he ordered an LG Nexus 4 handset some weeks back and yesterday it was delivered by UPS. 30 minutes later UPS turned back up on his doorstep and gave him another package that looked just the same as the first. On opening the package, inside was another LG Nexus 4 handset.
Customer gets two LG Nexus 4 handsets for price of one
The user of course quickly checked the balance of his bank account and the transaction history of Google Play Store to see if he had somehow ordered two and been charged for two devices. The guy found out that he had paid for just one device and strangely the second parcel had the same order number.
Some users have said that if he doesn’t come clean then it is the same as theft, while others have said he should enjoy the Christmas present from Google. According to US Federal Trade Commission he has the right to keep the unordered merchandise as a gift.
At the moment Google has not contacted the customer, and the user says that he plans on giving the 2nd LG Nexus 4 as a gift to his sister. So what would you do in these circumstances? Would you inform Google and give it back or would you put it on eBay given the current high demand for the handset?
