Today numerous individuals who ordered the LG Nexus 4 have received confirmation emails and shipping information with UPS. However the whole process has not been easy for some people, as while the lucky ones got confirmation of their order, others received an email telling them that their handset was on back order despite getting it in before the ‘sold out’ sign appeared.
Some LG Nexus 4 shipping today
It appears that Google managed to sell more handsets than what they actually had. When you consider the fact that the LG Nexus 4 sold out in almost all markets within 20 to 60 minutes, news of the back orders hasn’t come as a big surprise. However this will not stop the disappointment felt by those who are now waiting for their handset and confused as to how this may have happened despite their best efforts.
The back order email sent out by Google does give the buyer some choices. However none are great ones. They can wait for around three weeks for the LG Nexus 4 or they can cancel their order. The email said that due to the demand for the device the Nexus 4 was on back order and it was expected in three weeks again. Google have said that notifications will be sent when the device has shipped and that postage would be credited.
So were you among those lucky enough to have ordered the LG Nexus 4 and received an email telling you all is well or are you one of the unlucky ones who has been left waiting? We know orders kicked off in a couple of countries like outside of the US first so we are guessing there are quite a few unhappy shoppers stateside.
