There has already been several problems reported about the LG Nexus 4 and its hardware. However it seems that one of these is actually quite common among smartphones and has yet to be resolved by multiple manufacturers.
LG Nexus 4 annoying buzz seems to be widespread hardware issue
There have been several complaints in regards to the LG Nexus 4 and an annoying buzzing that comes from the earpiece of the device. The buzz doesn’t seem to be affecting all owners however it is widespread enough to make a mark on forums around the web. Now it seems that there are some other popular handsets that have the same issue too.
The LG Optimus G, Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Skyrocket, along with the iPhone 4S are also said to be suffering from the same noise. Some people thought that this was a software issue however given that it is still occuring after the recent Jelly Bean update and even affect non-Android devices (iPhone 4S), this is unlikely.
The folks over at Product-Reviews are attributing it to poor quality control and even build quality but given that there is no evidence that points to this yet, it cannot be said conclusively. Unfortunately given that it is likely a hardware issue, there will be no upcoming fix for it. If you’re experiencing this problem with your LG Nexus 4, your best bet is to ask for a replacement handset..
