If you’d been asked which phone you thought would be out of stock last year, you may have thought it’d be the iPhone 5, but you’d be wrong, as it’s widely available. No, the truly elusive device has turned out to be the LG Nexus 4 on Jelly Bean 4.2. It’s still elusive now.
LG Nexus 4 out of stock again
The LG Nexus 4 was launched last November, and has been a rare bird ever since. Since release, shipping dates have been pushed further and further back. It was available just two days ago after over a month of being MIA but this was shortlived. If you go to the Google Play Store now, the LG Nexus 4 is sold out again. Now all eyes are on late February or March only.
Easy availability for Android devices is essential. People will wait months for the annual iPhone release, but when there’s shiny new Androids popping up every few weeks, you’ll always be tempted by something bigger, better and flashier.
Before March we’ll see loads of Androids that are at least as good as the LG Nexus 4, so if you’re still waiting for it, you might be tempted to give up and grab an alternative.
There’s an app at Google Play Store that alerts you to when the LG Nexus 4 is in stock – the Nexus 4 Stock Alert. It’ll tell you when there’s stock at your nearest store (US, UK, Australia and Germany). This alert might go off a bit too late, though, as the Samsung Galaxy S4, the HTC M7, the Sony Xperia X and the Motorola X are all heading towards us sometime in this half of 2013.
