The LG Nexus 4 is possibly the most difficult Android smartphone to get your hands on right now. It has been sold out on the Play Store for weeks now and shipping times put it deep into February.
LG Nexus 4 availability issues
LG and Google explain that the shortage is due to overwhelming demand. Now this doesn’t necessarily mean that it is as sought after as the iPhone 5 or the Samsung Galaxy S3, but it does tell us that both Google and LG didn’t expect it to be this popular.
Unfortunately when it comes to Android devices, this poses as an expensive mistake. Given the highly competitive nature of Android, new smartphones are rolling out almost every month.
At this time, rumors put a Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC M7 and a Motorola X in the pipeline for an early Q1 reveal. So if we’re stuck waiting until February before we see more LG Nexus 4 stock arrive, there are bound to be defectors.
I’m still waiting to get my hands on an LG Nexus 4 but get the feeling that it will be readily available in the Google Play Store right after I quit waiting for it and have my gaze set on the next best thing. But that’s Android!
