LG Nexus 4: how to get a real-time alert when it is back in stock
The 8GB LG Nexus 4 model appears to be going from in stock to sold out frequently in the past few hours, suggesting that Google may be staggering sales since they never really gave a fixed time when the order window would open. If you want to improve your chances of getting it when it comes back in stock, a Reddit users has prepared some instructions on how you can do it using the Chrome web browser.
First you should head over to extensions hereThen log into your Google account
Choose the following options: Refresh Predefined URL & Page Monitor
Choose a refresh of 1 second
Set your custom URL to thisSet the notification setting for “Delivered in 3-5 business days”
You will then be all set and when the in stock button shows up on the website you will hear a notification tone. If you have your mouse hovering over the button as soon as you hear the sound you can click.
This may take a couple of tries before you get it into your cart. The key here is to have patience. When you have it in your cart all you have to do is keep clicking “Proceed”. Once it brings up Google Wallet you are home free. Of course the custom URL here is for the 16GB version of the Nexus 4, if you the 8GB versions then you have to change the URL.
At the moment people using this method are seeing a Sold Out sign, however more devices should be available very soon.
