LG Nexus 4 Will Be Back In Play Store Again When The Cows Come Home

By  |

If you had been asked which of the devices from last year would have been out of stock, the chances are that you would have said it would be the Apple iPhone 5. Not so as you can get the Apple iPhone 5 from just about any Apple Store. The device that is like finding a needle in a haystack is none other than the LG Nexus 4, which runs Jelly Bean 4.2, and the device is still hard to get hold of in 2013.

LG Nexus 4 availability issues

The device was revealed in November and it is one of the rarest devices on the market. Ever since it was released shipping times have been getting further and further behind. If you were to place an order for the handset today, then you probably would not get it until late February or even early in March.

Being able to get hold of a device fast when it runs Android is imperative. While it is alright waiting for the Apple iPhone 5 for some time as Apple only reveal one handset each year, Android handsets are released a lot faster. This means that there is always something bigger and better just around the corner.

Before February comes around there may be several devices running Android that match up to the LG Nexus 4 or beat it. Therefore if you have been waiting for the device then there is a big chance that another device will come out before you can purchase the LG Nexus 4.

You can get your hands on an app at the Google Play Store that will tell you if and when the LG Nexus 4 comes back into stock. This is called the Nexus 4 Stock Alert. If the device comes into stock at your nearest Google Play Store, whether you live in the US, UK, Australia or Germany, you will get a notification telling you. For me, that alert could very well come a little too late though as new devices could come onto the market in the shape of the Samsung Galaxy S4, the HTC M7, Motorola X or the Sony Xperia Z as early as this quarter.
