Sure, LG G4 and G3 users around the world have been getting their devices updated to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but unfortunately not the G2. However, things are taking a turn now and recent reports suggested that the G2 devices may have a high possibility of getting it in the near future.
LG hasn’t made it clear how far back they are going with updates to devices. Pretty sure they had a difficult time in making this decision, but they still have to anyway. Let’s be hopeful since the latest version of the OS is Android 6.0 Marshmallow and could be available for the LG G2 devices.
The Verizon version of the LG G2 has been seen in a benchmark running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the results of the test were fair. This was a test made with a custom ROM as LG hasn’t officially given the update to owners yet.
The LG G2 in the benchmark with Android 6.0 Marshmallow scored about the same in single core and in the multi-core it got a score of 2728. If LG doesn’t offer up Marshmallow soon then we expect that a stable version of it will come by way of a custom ROM very soon. Just remember to be patient!
