Since the LG G4 and G3 users have already received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow rollout for them in several parts of the globe, it’s only a matter of time where their forgotten brethren – LG G2 – would receive the same too.
Perhaps LG is all to blame. They just weren’t sure as to how far back they were planning to go updating their flagship models to the latest Android Marshmallow update. But some of you might have already seen this: the Verizon LG G2 gets benchmarked with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it turns out that the results are surprisingly quite fair. Though this is only just a custom ROM, there’s hope to remaining LG G2 users out there.
Their scores on Geekbench are as follows: same in single core and 2728 in multi-core. It goes to show that if LG doesn’t provide the Marshmallow update for their G2 users, then a stable custom ROM shouldn’t be too far off as well. Let’s just be hopeful for an official Marshmallow update release confirmed by LG, as soon as possible.
