What can be better than a standard Lexus RX? Well, an RX with even more passenger space. At least that is what a lot of people have been asking for.
After all that begging, Lexus finally gave in. According to Mag-X from Japan, Lexus is working on an RX model with a third-row seat and that the vehicle will be making its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show this year.
The report added that despite the extra space in the back, the platform will remain the same but that also means that the third row is not going to be as spacious so don’t expect it to be comfortable in the back.
Under the hood should be a 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be offering about 295hp and 268lb ft of torque. The hybrid engine option might also be offered here. The model is said to arrive in Japan early next year.
Of course, until Lexus says anything more, it is best to take it with a pinch of salt for now.
