When you think about Lamborghini you automatically think about fast supercars such as the 573 horsepower 5.2 litre V10 Lamborghini Huracan, which comes in with a price tag of over $203,000. At the moment this is the cheapest vehicle in the line-up from the carmaker, but this could change as rumours have it that they could developer a vehicle that is basic, which would rival the Porsche 911.
It has been suggested that Lamborghini might make a new entry level sports car. The CEO hasn’t ruled out bringing in a fourth model to the upcoming portfolio and in a recent interview when asked he said possibly yes.
The entry level Lamborghini would come with a modular platform and this could then be used in the line-up. By doing this it would bring down the costs that come when developing a brand new vehicle from the ground up. Of course it would have to be distinctive and stand out for both the design and the performance it offered.
We are not expecting the entry level Lamborghini to come our way anytime soon. The Urus SUV is going to arrive in 2018 and so we may see a new addition somewhere around 2022.
