We know that Jeep is working on a new three-row plug-in hybrid Jeep model as they have shown it off in Shanghai last year but what we do not know is what the production model will be offering and what Jeep will be calling it here in the US.

Although it is called the Yuntu when Jeep took the covers off the concept last year, most people think that Jeep won’t be calling it that in the US. In fact, some people believe that the arrival of the Yuntu would revive some of the older names like the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.

Based on what we can see right now, it looks like the new model could be coming with a new design that is a mix of the Compass, the upgraded Cherokee, Dodge Durango and also parts of the concept.

The engine is still a mystery but we expect to see some kind of electric engine being offered since it was unveiled as a plug-in hybrid model.
