Is This The Last For The Toyota Prius?

By  |

There are many electric vehicles out on the market that offer a range of around 300 miles and this keeps on improving. The Toyota Prius isn’t able to keep up with these vehicles and so it might not last much longer. So could this be the last year that we see the Toyota Prius and might we be saying goodbye to it?

Toyota realises that they have to do something and so they have set up an in-house company with staff that can focus on coming up with an electric vehicle that will be able to compete with the vehicles offering a range of 300 miles.

Toyota has been working on fuel cell vehicles and hybrids but they have said that by 2020 they will come up with an electric vehicle. The in-house staff is able to focus on research and development and when the electric vehicle comes out it could be time to say goodbye to the Toyota Prius.

The electric Toyota vehicle is going to launch in 2020 in Japan first and it will be pure electric. But what are your thoughts about the Toyota Prius?
