Perhaps the most talked-about comparison between the best current smartphones would be the iPhone 6S and the Samsung Galaxy S6. Both are equally gorgeous in their seamless design, but can we say the same too when it comes to quality? Let’s have them compared anyway…
Sure, we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, they are both equally gorgeous and with a timeless design like that, there’s nothing that you can dislike about one or the other. The Galaxy S6’s metal chassis does make it more slippery to hold, but with the milled aluminium frame and a shimmering glass at the back, it’s easy to forget about the weakness as we’ll just be focusing more on the sheer amazingness of it all. It feels like there isn’t anything else to describe the iPhone 6S rather than being as flawless as ever; it’s hard not to like the phone when it’s looking as beautiful as it is. The iPhone 6S comes with a strengthened screen glass and hardened aluminium frame too, and perhaps could just be a tad too sturdy for some.
The Galaxy S6’s 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 with a pixel density of 576ppi, while the iPhone 6S’ 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD has a resolution of 750 x 1334 with a pixel density of 326ppi. It’s clear the winner here belongs to the Galaxy S6 with those figures that outnumbered the iPhone 6S, but the latter is still great regardless. Though we’ve gotta admit that the S6’s Super AMOLED display is Super Incredible as it reproduces 98.5% of the sRGB colour gamut, while iPhone 6S has only got fantastic colour accuracy to boast about.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy S6
There’s no denying that iPhone 6S wins here with the 3D Touch, hands down. It’s the most intriguing aspect of the phone because it does a whole lot of things; adds a right-click capability to the phone, gets Selfie, Video, Slo-mo and Take Photo shortcuts in the Camera app, as well as having Safari options for a standard and private tab creation. And it’s worth mentioning that the list isn’t exhaustive too. On the other hand, though there isn’t any amazing feature of the Galaxy S6 that could overshadow the iPhone 6S, the former does come with these features: heart rate monitor, an infrared transceiver and built-in wireless charging.
Winner: iPhone 6S
And there you have it. We wouldn’t say that there is indeed a clear choice between these two because they are equally good on their own; hence, a tie in the results. It all depends on your preference; are you more prone to having the best display for your phone or do you just want it to be abundant with features?
