iPhone 6 vs Moto X vs Nexus 5: The New Breed
Now that we are halfway through the year we have seen many superb handsets come onto the market. These include the HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4 and the LG Optimus G Pro, among the many. It is thought that during the last half of the year it is thought that we will also see many handsets coming our way. We could be seeing the Nexus 5, the Moto X (now confirmed already) and the iPhone 6 or 5S, depending on Apple.
Even if the iPhone was only a major upgrade it is thought that sales will still be impressive, however the technology will be something different, this is thanks to the fact that the Android devices will come onto the scene with much better specs, according to the theory that is. So if the Apple iPhone 6 is revealed later on this year, how will the three devices match up to one another?
The LG Nexus 4 enjoyed a lot of success and everyone thought that LG would work with Google again on the next Nexus handset; however they said they were not. LG have said that there is no bad blood between the two but they wanted to work on their own device. However we believe that the the mess up with stock could have played a part in this.
We can only guess what the LG Nexus 5 may be; however there is the possibility of a flexible display as LG said that they would have a flexible screen handset on the market before the years end. It is thought that the hardware in the Nexus 5 could be something very special, which we talk about below.
The Moto X, which some people have called the Google X phone, was put up for pre-order last week and now it is just a matter of time before it arrives in stores all around the world
When it comes to the iPhone 6 it is wishful thinking to hope that Apple will reveal something innovative this year. Tim Cook said that Apple would not be pressured into releasing a phone when they were not ready to do so. But saying they do, what does Apple need to do if they are to get back on top of things?
They could reveal two devices; one could be a premium device and the other a low cost device, possibly made from polycarbonate. Apple may not go down the plastic route, but they could use recyclable aluminium, this would work out cheaper than what they use right now.
If Apple released the iPhone 6 this year they would have to reveal some superb specs as the company are falling behind. While Tim Cook says that they will make the changes that users want, when they are ready, however this could take them down a very slippery slope.
We love Apple and have owned the iPhone from when it was launched, also owing the iPad, MacBook Air, iMac and Apple TV. However we are not happy with the fact that Apple has let their rivals do a better job in evolving products, more so Samsung. They may not be the best looking handsets, but the majority of people would rather have high tech than great looks on the outside. After all most people use a case.
