iPhone 5 Or S3? Doesn’t Take A Genius To Know Which Is Better

By  |

Samsung have posted a full page ad in newspapers around the US and in it they take a shot at the new iPhone 5 when they match it up against their own Galaxy S3. They even have the cheek to steal the Apple genius line when comparing the specs and features of the two handsets against each other. In short they are saying that it doesn’t take a genius to know which of the two is the best.

The ad has tech blogs around the world talking about it due to the fact that it is biased towards the Samsung Galaxy S3 and some of the specs of the iPhone 5 were left out by Samsung. But isn’t that the whole point of an ad for your product?

The ad would not have had the same impact if Samsung had matched the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3 feature for feature. The ad has done what it was intended to do, get people talking about it and noticing that the http://i.imgur.com/tDyFG.jpg can do more than the iPhone 5. Using the “genius” is very entertaining and again it has impact, more so than if they had just said that a better phone was already on the market. Bear in mind that Apple are famous for misleading with their Siri commercials too so this is all in good fun.

All Samsung have done is add in some catchy lines along with a feature list promoting their flagship handset the S3, they have created an ad that makes you notice it and which does what it is meant to do, make you sit up and take notice of their readily available product. They did after all state that the above listed features are representative, not all inclusive, so they are not misleading anyone, simply pointing out facts. Check out the ad below.
