Two of the top handsets on the market at the moment are the iPhone 5 from Apple and the Samsung Galaxy S3. If you were considering these two devices, which of the two would be the better choice?
iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3 (IM’s comparison)
Tech blog IntoMobile tried to answer this question and found out that Apple’s iPhone 5 came out the more superior of the duo? Why?
The iPhone 5 has the benefit of being a little bit faster than the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the camera just pips that of the S3 to the post. The handset is smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S3, which makes the handset easier to hold in one hand. The display of the S3 is 4.8 inches, which for some is too large. The iPhone 5 has a more comfortable display of 4 inches. However the S3 display is great and if you use two hands with your phone, then this would be the better option for watching video and browsing the web.
Operating systems are another consideration. iOS 6 is on the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with Android 4.0 and is update-able to Jelly Bean soon. If you are a fan of Google maps then you can forget about the iPhone 5, however Google maps is on Android on the S3. If Google apps are your thing then the S3 is perfect, however if you use iTunes, then Apple’s iPhone 5 will be your best bet.
If you want an OS that is simple to use then iOS fits the bill, but if you want to customise your phone, then Android is a must with the Samsung Galaxy S3. Both iOS 6 and Android have their bad and good points, and OS is a matter of personal choice.
All in all IntoMobile thinks the iPhone 5 has the edge over the Samsung Galaxy S3 for design, camera and speed, making it the winner.
