The iPhone 5 has got off to a far better beginning in life than the iPhone 4S did, at least according to tweets that have been posted on Twitter. Almost 40% of all tweets were positive following the day of its announcement to Friday morning reports Mashable. Some of the tweets were neutral, saying neither good nor bad about the new handset.
Twitter: iPhone 5 had more favorable reaction than 4S did
This is compared to last year when the iPhone 4S was released and only 26% of tweets from its launch to two days after showed the device in good light. 49% of tweets were negative about the iPhone 4S.
The feedback on Twitter is one of the first indications of just how well the iPhone 5 may do. A study by Piper Jaffray said that 73% of tweets about the announcement of the new iPhone 5 were positive. Apple hopes to sell around 6 to 10 million handsets before the end of September.
