Today picture were posted which compared the rumored iPhone 5 alongside iPhone models already on the shelves, the 4S and 3GS. The pictures came from Nowhereelse.fr and seem to show what the next generation iPhone will look like when it is fully assembled.

The pictures show the iPhone 5 to be longer than any of the previous versions of the device and it having the rumored 4 inch display. Pictures taken from the side of the devices also show that the new handset will be slimmer that the iPhone 4S and a great deal slimmer than the older version of the iPhone, the iPhone 3GS.
If the pictures are the real deal then the next generation iPhone 5 will have undergone significant design improvements over the older models. The iPhone 5 is rumored to be arriving on 12th September at an Apple event and the handset may be available for pre-order on the same day with shipping thought to be around the 21st September.
Rumored specs include a quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, HD front camera, 4G LTE connectivity and even an NFC chip. It will come with iOS 6 preloaded of course.
