When Apple revealed the iPhone 5 it was introduced as being the world’s thinnest phone. The iPhone 5 is 7.6mm in thickness which does make it the thinnest ever iPhone to have been designed. However the statement that Phil Schiller made about it being the world’s thinnest phone is not actually true claims Droid-Life.
iPhone 5 not world’s thinnest smartphone
The blog points out that Apple may have not done their homework when it comes to competitor’s handsets as there are a handful of smartphones that are a lot thinner than the iPhone 5, and yes they are available on earth.
The original Verizon Motorola DROID RAZR for instance happens to be the thinnest device at 7.1mm and while it may not sound like much, you can tell the difference. So either the Razr isn’t of this world or Apple just didn’t bother to look into it much.
Along with this there has been the China made Huawei P1 Ascend at 6.7mm, the ZTE Athena at 6.2mm and the Oppo Finder at just 6.6mm that has to be counted in.
