iPhone 5: Apple’s Arrogance Stifles iPhone For Fans

By  |

Apple has been called arrogant by co-founder Steve Wozniak, who has said that he wants Apple to deliver bigger handsets. TheRegister reports that he went on to say that the only reason why fans on the iPhone cannot enjoy a larger device is that Apple is stubborn and have the attitude that they are the only ones with the right clue.

Did Apple’s arrogance stifle the iPhone 5?

Apple says that the display of the iPhone should be allow for the navigation with a single thumb. However this is despite the fact there are a lot of people out there who prefer a larger display. These people never seem to have any problem with using their phones.

He said that the screen of the new iPhone 5 was a defensive move by Apple, and they are saying that they are right, while at the same time offering a slightly larger display to ease peer pressure.

Woz also said that he wished that Apple had kept hold of their smartphone marketshare and indicated that iOS is too “closed” for them to be able to do so.

The iPhone 5 has proved to be popular and the first of the batches of the devices sold out in just one hour. Some people may want a larger display on a handset, however there are those who just want an iPhone, whatever the size of the screen. What do you think, should the next iPhone move with the times and have a much larger display?

On a side note, yesterday we reported of a Google Maps client available in the App Store for iOS 6 devices like the iPhone 5. This was a great alternative for those who we tired of Apple maps and its inaccuracies. Well it looks like within hours of the news breaking, the app was pulled from the App Store.
