At the moment, Android devices are garnering up major attention thanks to their monster specs, large displays, fast processors and camera resolutions. Apple have just released the iPhone 5 and everyone is wondering just how it will measure up against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S3. However there may be another sleeper hit that is yet to hit stores but already making waves – the LG Optimus G.
LG Optimus G has best of iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3… plus a little extra
There’s no question that Samsung Galaxy S3 has some powerful hardware underneath. Simultaneously so does the iPhone 5 and it also brings to the table its gorgeous looks thanks to the usage of premium materials. While the iPhone 5 may overshadow the glossy plastic stylings of the Samsung Galaxy S3, the same cannot be said about the LG Optimus G with its unibody glass. With powerful hardware and killer looks, the LG Optimus G seems to be trying really hard to get back into the limelight, so hard that you’d think its criminal. Let’s take a look at the specs.
These handsets were chosen thanks to them being so different when it comes to design. They all come with powerful processors, have LTE support, high res screens and great cameras of at least 8 megapixels.
The design of the iPhone 5 with its 4 inch display is metal and glass while the Samsung Galaxy S3 has an all plastic look of polycarbonate with a 4.8 inch display. The Optimus G is designed in unibody glass and has a display of 4.7 inches. If you want a large display then the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the LG Optimus G are the best choices. However, if you want a handset with a premium look and design then it would have to be either the Apple iPhone 5 or the LG Optimus G.
Not only does the LG Optimus G get the best of both worlds but it stands out over the powerful hardware in the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5. It boasts a 13-megapixel camera (rivals are at 8), a quad-core Snapdragon Pro (a newer generation chip than the one in the S3) and manages to couple this all with LTE and 2GB RAM while its competitors falter here (S3 sacrificed the quad-core for LTE and the iPhone 5 has just 1GB RAM).
Expected to arrive here in the US shortly, we can’t wait to get our hands on one and see how it stands up against the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 in real world tests.
